Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer to provide diagnostic imaging across the Huntsville/Birmingham, AL area using a company vehicle.

This full-time, day-shift role offers travel to patient sites for General and Vascular studies, with RDMS/RVT credentials preferred, and a strong focus on patient care in a mobile setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• General and Vascular ultrasound experience required.
• RDMS and RVT credentials strongly preferred.
• Echo experience/registry is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and applications.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout an assigned territory using a company-provided vehicle and gas card.
• Perform General and Vascular ultrasound studies at patient locations.
• Provide compassionate, professional care while working directly with patients.
• Transmit completed studies to radiologists for interpretation.
• Maintain portable ultrasound equipment and ensure it remains clean and in proper working condition.
• Manage your daily assignments and workflow independently.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with team members and assist with additional coverage when needed.

Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer | Company Vehicle

Location: Huntsville / Birmingham, AL

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift (8s, 10s, or 12s)

Pay: $35–$40/hour

Shift Differentials: +$2/hour after 2 PM | +$3/hour after 10 PM | +$4/hour weekends

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer to provide diagnostic imaging services to patients throughout the Huntsville/Birmingham area. This is a great opportunity for a sonographer who enjoys working independently, being out in the community, and providing one-on-one patient care outside of a traditional hospital setting.

A company vehicle, gas card, portable ultrasound equipment, PPE, and scrubs are provided.

What You’ll Do
