Job summary

L2L is seeking a Software Engineer in the greater Salt Lake City area to join our mobile product team. You will own the mobile app pipeline, work on a React Native/Expo codebase, and deliver features used by frontline workers on iOS and Android.

You will build, test, and release mobile software, collaborate with backend engineers, and drive automation and tooling to speed shipping while ensuring quality in real devices and plant trials.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping a production mobile or frontend application.
• Strong TypeScript and working knowledge of React Native or React.
• Experience shipping a React Native or Expo app to both stores, or ability to learn quickly.
• Interest in building developer tooling and automated testing infrastructure.
• Experience with Python web backend and reading unfamiliar code.
• Experience releasing to Apple App Store and Google Play with staged rollouts.
• Clear written communication in an asynchronous, distributed team.
• Experience with push notifications, hybrid WebView apps, authentication, or observability tooling is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial software, or frontline workforce tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build features in L2L mobile apps using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
• Own the hybrid experience where native screens meet the web platform: login, deep links, in-app browsing.
• Design for factory constraints: locked devices, patchy connectivity.
• Write tests and end-to-end flows for simulators, emulators, and real devices.
• Own notifications reliability for iOS and Android and monitor delivery.
• Collaborate with backend to align services and alert rules.
• Maintain CI pipelines and release tooling to speed delivery.
• Monitor release health and respond to issues after releases.
• Contribute to platform with Python backend and Vue frontend as needed.
