Job summary

Cargo Transporters is seeking a mobile mechanic to service our truck and trailer fleet within a 75 mile radius. You will perform DOT inspections, minor repairs, tire maintenance, and body work as needed while traveling to client locations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in varying weather. The role requires accurate work, good communication, and flexibility on shift assignments.

Qualifications

• Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Must complete DOT Medical Examiner physical.
• Familiar with DOT inspections and FMCSA regulations.
• Be able to work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and safety awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Performs DOT inspections, minor light repairs, tire maintenance, and other repairs as necessary.
• Mobile service within a 75 mile radius; travel as assigned.
• Act professionally toward drivers and the motoring public.
• Be flexible for reassignment to other projects during the shift.
• Perform other duties to meet business needs.

Position Requirements/Qualifications
