Job summary

Cargo Transporters, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Mobile Service Truck Technician to perform on-site mechanical repairs for the truck and trailer fleet within a 75 mile radius.

Qualifications

• Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Must complete DOT Medical Examiner physical.
• Performs DOT inspections, minor light repairs, tire maintenance, minor body repairs, and other repairs and services as necessary.
• Be flexible for reassignment to other projects throughout the shift.
• Act professionally and respectfully toward drivers and the motoring public through all actions and behaviors.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Reports to: Director of Maintenance Classification: Non-Exempt

Primary Function:

To provide a mobile service performing mechanical repairs to the truck/trailer fleet within a 75 mile radius.

• Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Prefer experience with DOT inspections according to FMCSA regulations
• Computer proficient
• Technical abilities
• Must be able to make decisions and establish work priorities
• A high level of accuracy is required
• Required to work in varying weather conditions, all work will be exposed to the elements
• Bending, pushing, lifting min.50 lbs., twisting, squatting, and stooping as needed
