Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Arkansas is seeking a Tire Service Technician to respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck. You will mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires for passenger, light truck, and commercial applications, and diagnose tire-related issues on the road.

You may perform light mechanical repairs, inspect tires and wheels, operate TPMS and diagnostic tools, and keep the truck and tools in safe working condition.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck.
• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires for passenger, light truck, commercial truck, and industrial tires.
• Diagnose tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs as needed.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Operate TPMS and other diagnostic tools; maintain the service truck and equipment in safe condition.
• Follow DOT regulations, safety policies, and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service with clear communication of service details and timelines.
• Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls.

Diagnose and repair tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs as needed.

Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.

Perform fleet inspections and preventative maintenance checks when required.

Operate tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and other diagnostic tools.

Maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in safe operating condition.

Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.

Provide exceptional customer service, including clear communication of service details and timelines.

Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls.

Skills / Education / Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (CDL preferred but not required).

• Possible overtime may be required.

Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred, but not required.

Ability to lift and move tires weighing 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.

Capable of working independently in various weather and road conditions.

Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

• Overtime maybe required.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
