Job summary

Lucid Motors seeks a Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair Lucid vehicles at client locations. You will travel within your territory, perform field service repairs, and collaborate with the service center when needed.

The role requires ASE and EPA 609 certifications and a valid driver's license; Lucid covers training, tools, and a service van. You will use HV/LV knowledge to deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician.
• Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Low Voltage systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrain.
• Customer facing experience with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with DMS software.

Responsibilities

• Function as a Service Advisor and manage parts ordering, returns, and inventory.
• Work directly with clients to provide a high level of customer experience.
• Document all customer vehicle interactions in the software suite.
• Maintain a high knowledge level of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and EV systems.
• Conduct walk-around and write-up to ascertain primary concerns from client communication and visuals.
• Document client concerns for diagnosis and repair.
• Follow repair order documentation procedures.
• Invoice and collect payment.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and update customers on repair status.
• Review appointment schedule to plan travel time and visit duration for mobile services.
• Provide support at Service Center as needed.
• Ability to travel within assigned territory and to other service locations.

Mobile Service Technician

The Mobile Service Technician is a unique position that covers field service repairs. This position would be responsible for traveling to client locations and will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing Lucid Motors vehicles in the field. Lucid provides Mobile Service Technicians with a service van or truck and provides the needed tools. This fixed operation position will work independently as well as a team where you will have the support of the closet service location. You will demonstrate your passion for sustainable transportation and creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

As a Mobile Service Technician, it is expected to have ASE certifications obtained within 6-8 months of hire date. Lucid will reimburse the cost associated with successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Function as a Service Advisor and perform parts department duties including ordering, returns, and inventory management
• Work directly with clients to provide a high level of customer experience
• Effectively work with the appropriate software suite to properly and completely document all customer vehicle interactions
• Maintain a high knowledge level of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general Electric Vehicle (EV) systems
• Properly perform the walk-around and write-up processes, accurately ascertaining primary concern through verbal interview and visual assessment to assess client needs accurately
• Accurately document client concerns for diagnosis and repair
• Follow correct repair order documentation procedures, i.e. The Three C’s
• Invoice and collect payment
• Perform customer service duties such as answer phones, scheduling appointments (where needed), and calling customers to update them on repair status, or to follow up after repairs are completed
• Review appointment schedule to plan travel time and visit duration for mobile services
• Provide support at Service Center based on demand
• Ability to travel in assigned territory and other service locations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician
• Self-sufficient, highly organized and comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Low Voltage systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrain
• Customer facing experience exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS software
• EPA 609 Certification
• Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post hire
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (hourly)

$33—$45 USD

Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.
