Job summary

Optimum RV LLC is seeking an on-site RV Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of recreational vehicles at customer locations across the area. You will travel to sites, perform on-site inspections, diagnose issues, and complete maintenance while keeping customers informed of findings and progress.

The role emphasizes strong technical skills, customer service, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of RV systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication to explain repairs to customers.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on RV systems.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct PDIs to ensure RVs meet safety standards before delivery.
• Document all work in the dealership's service management system.
• Communicate with service advisors and customers about repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and tools.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated RV Service Technician to join our service team and ensure our customers' RVs are maintained and repaired to the highest standards. Hourly pay relative to level of work experience; available weekly production bonuses, add 20% to total weekly pay.

Responsibilities:

Mobile Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on a variety of recreational vehicles. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent customer service, as you will represent our company in the field. The primary duties will include:

• Travel to customer locations to perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure RVs meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers.
• Documenting all work performed, including parts used and labor time, in the dealership's service management system.
• Communicating with service advisors and customers to provide detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance work.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and technical bulletins.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
• All other responsibilities as assigned.
• Willing to learn all aspects of RV repair, including house repairs
• Current certification (RVIA/RVDA/RVTI) OR interest in completing online training courses for RVIA certification
• Paid on-the-job RVTI Technician Certification Training

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; RV experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• RVIA/RVDA certification or other relevant industry certifications (preferred)
• Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and software (preferred).
• Familiarity with warranty repair processes and documentation (preferred).
