Job summary

Wiers Fleet Partners in Bensenville, IL is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician for full-time, on-site field work. You will diagnose and repair diesel systems at customer locations, perform DOT inspections, and keep fleets reliable.

You’ll work independently with strong backing from a team, manage your day, and build lasting fleet partner relationships while receiving a competitive pay and benefits. Must have 5+ years diesel experience, high school diploma, and valid driver's license; CDL

• 5+ years of diesel technician experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, not required).

• $40–$45 per hour

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the trusted expert fleets rely on when they need service at their location.

• Diagnose and repair diesel systems on-site—from routine maintenance to complex issues
• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance
• Keep fleets compliant, reliable, and operational
• Represent Wiers with professionalism, consistency, and skill

What You Bring

• 5+ years of diesel technician experience
• Strong diagnostic and repair capabilities
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, not required)
• Ability to handle heavy components and work in field conditions
• Customer-focused mindset with professional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications
• Mobile or field service experience
• Advanced diagnostic training
• Ability to work after hours and weekend if needed.
