Job summary

PIRTEK York is seeking a Mobile Service & Sales Technician to be the face of our business. You’ll operate a fully equipped mobile workshop, diagnose hydraulic and industrial hose issues on-site, and perform fast, reliable repairs to keep customers running.

This role blends hands-on mechanical work with professional customer interactions. You’ll build trust with business owners and managers, explain repairs, and identify additional service needs while representing a fast-growing PIRTEK franchise.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on repair skills.
• Confident communicator able to speak professionally with customers.
• Sales-minded with ability to spot opportunities and make recommendations.
• Problem-solver who stays calm in fast-paced environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in hydraulic, mechanical, automotive, industrial, or construction fields is a plus.
• No hydraulic experience? Comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site hydraulic hose replacement and repairs at customer locations.
• Operate and maintain a PIRTEK Mobile Service Vehicle as a rolling workshop.
• Diagnose issues, fabricate hoses, and complete repairs with accuracy and safety.
• Deliver exceptional customer service—explain work, answer questions, and build rapport.
• Identify opportunities for additional products/services and help customers prevent future breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and vehicle inventory.
