Mobile Security Supervisor - Overnight

Wage: $19.00-20.00 per hour

Job Summary

Provides field supervision of Securitas Mobile personnel in patrol, inspection, shared guarding and/or response operations; delivers patrol and response services as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise guards and other personnel during patrol, inspection, shared guarding, and response operations; ensure high quality service and initiate corrective action when necessary.
  • Meet with branch management and client representatives for status updates, address problems, support client start‑ups, and provide input on security planning, assessments and surveys.
  • Coordinate with branch management on orientation, training, development and retention of staff; treat each staff member with dignity and respect.
  • Assign and direct work, coach employees, carry out disciplinary actions as required, and refer problematic issues to branch management.
  • Maintain a professional environment in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate with branch management regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment and record‑keeping to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Inspect patrol routes and sites to ensure adequate coverage and compliance; visit client representatives to confirm satisfaction; cover vacant routes or assignments as needed.
  • Review client and company reports for accuracy and timeliness; assist in preparing and submitting payroll information.
  • Perform related tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the position.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Reliable means of communication (pager or phone)
  • Reliable means of transportation (public or private)
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be willing to participate in mandatory pre‑employment screening, including drug screening and background investigation
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job)

  • May be required to hold and continue to meet applicable state, county and municipal licenses for Security Officers.
  • Knowledge of security operations with emphasis on patrol, inspection and response services.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
  • Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form.

Working Conditions
  • Maintaining composure when dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public under urgent and pressured circumstances.
  • Potential exposure to stressful situations involving unauthorized individuals.
  • Must meet company standards for background, reference checks, controlled substance testing and behavioral selection survey; meet any mandatory licensing requirements.
  • Directing and disciplining staff positively.
  • May be required to work overtime without advance notice.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Keyboarding, basic computer usage and operating controls.
  • Clear visual, auditory and verbal communication with employees and clients; ability to observe and report incidents.
  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking; occasional climbing stairs; walking on uneven terrain.
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Close, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular use of a vehicle for duty performance.
  • May perform stressful and physical activity on occasion.
  • Exposure to inclement weather or requirement to work in environments requiring protective gear and personal safety awareness.
