Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Normal, IL to safeguard clients across industries, conduct vehicle patrols, and deter incidents while delivering exceptional service. You will communicate clearly, follow site procedures, and maintain a visible, responsive presence.

The role is full-time hourly with a daytime schedule and opportunities to engage with a supportive team and benefits program. Background checks and a drug screen are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, entry points, offices, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
