Job summary

PalAmerican Security in San Jose, CA seeks a vigilant Patrol Officer to safeguard clients’ premises. You will be a visible ambassador, leveraging observation skills and quick responses to deter incidents.

Shift options include evening/night rotations; must have TrackTik and Mobile Patrol experience, a clean MVR, 21+ for insurance, and at least one year in security to join our dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver License with clean MVR.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.
• Minimum 1 year of security or similar experience.
• Must be 21+ for insurance and able to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Submit formal reports of each patrol performed.
• Practice safe driving on and off duty.
• Maintain a highly visible presence and observe/report unusual activity.
• Conduct security checks and inspect building entrances/exits.
• Patrol, inspect, and secure access areas into client's premises.
• Lock and unlock areas according to schedule.
• Conduct site safety and security inspections.
• Document observations, activities, and actions completed.
• Adapt and innovate for maximum efficiency.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Valid Driver License and clean driving record
• Effective communication in English, verbally and in writing
• Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience is a plus
• Able to pass drug screen and criminal background check
• Valid Drivers License with ability to pass MVR checkMinimum age of 21
• High school Diploma or GED required
• Two years of experience in security, customer service or similar field

Physical Requirements:

• Able to walk, run, and climb stairs
• Tolerate exposure to outside elements for extended shifts
• Sufficient hearing to respond to verbal speech and alarms
• Able to stand, walk, and/or drive for up to 90% of a 12-hour shift
