Schwab is seeking a Mobile Software Development Engineer in Test to deliver high-quality mobile experiences used by millions of clients. You will design and enhance automated testing solutions across iOS and Android, collaborating with engineers, product owners, and partners in an agile environment.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain automated testing solutions using Test Automation skills
• Ability to apply Quality Assurance practices to validate functionality, reliability, and release readiness
• Strong Software Development capability using Java or comparable object-oriented programming languages
• Demonstrated Problem Solving skills to identify root causes and resolve complex quality issues
• Ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams and across technical and business stakeholders
• Strong Communication skills used to explain testing status, quality risks, and recommendations
• Ability to improve testing processes through Continuous Improvement practices
• Demonstrated leadership behaviors including mentoring, coordination, and influence

As a Mobile Software Development Engineer in Test, you will help deliver high-quality experiences that millions of Schwab clients depend on to manage and grow their financial futures. Working within Schwab Technology Services, you will design and enhance automated testing solutions that ensure reliability, performance, and quality across native mobile applications.

Using test automation, quality assurance, software development, problem solving, collaboration, communication, continuous improvement, and leadership skills, you will help accelerate delivery, improve client experiences, and promote confidence in every mobile release. Your work will directly support innovative mobile capabilities ranging from account management to complex trading experiences.

You will collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and technology partners in an agile environment while continuing to grow your expertise in mobile platforms, quality engineering, automation frameworks, and modern development practices.

What you have

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain automated testing solutions using Test Automation skills

• Ability to apply Quality Assurance practices to validate functionality, reliability, and release readiness

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting mobile application testing across iOS and Android platforms

• Experience with Appium, XCUI, Espresso, CI/CD practices, or related testing technologies

• Experience using quality metrics and test coverage analysis to improve delivery outcomes

• Experience supporting distributed Agile teams

• Financial services, trading platform, or highly regulated industry experience

• Experience adopting emerging testing technologies and AI-assisted development tools
