Job summary

Kunes RV is seeking a Mobile RV Specialty Technician to perform on-site repairs and maintenance for travel trailers, 5th wheels, and motorized RVs. A mobile truck and tools are provided to perform mobile repairs.

The role involves diagnosing appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, planning work with the shop foreman, and providing labor estimates while ensuring compliance with safety and regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of related experience recommended.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to communicate with customers on site.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to read work requests and determine scope of work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
• Perform tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
• Communicate additional service requests to service advisor
• Plan work in cooperation with shop foreman
• Provide labor estimates to service advisor
• Monitor repair time and update service advisor
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
• Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
• Perform warranty repairs as needed

Duties/Responsibilities:

• - Diagnose and repair appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
• - Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
• - Communicate additional service requests to service advisor
• - Plan work in cooperation with shop foreman
• - Provide labor estimates to service advisor
• - Monitor repair time and update service advisor
• - Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
• - Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
• - Keep current with factory technical bulletins

Education and Experience:

• - High School diploma or equivalent required.
• - Three years of related experience recommended.

Physical Requirements:

• - Ability to work independently
• - Must be able to work safely in areas with space constraints
• - Must be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly.
• - Must be able to inspect vehicles to determine repairs needed.
• - Good vision to inspect repair work.
• - Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

Salary Description
