Qualifications

What You’ll Do
  • Perform mobile diagnostics and repairs on RV house and chassis systems: 12V/120V electrical, plumbing, HVAC, LP systems, generators, slide‐outs, leveling, awnings, and roof components.
  • Handle emergency road calls, scheduled PMs, safety inspections, and seasonal services (winterization/de‐winterization) within ~70‐mile Houston radius.
  • Execute sealant, roof, and light fabrication repairs on‐site.
  • Utilize mobile software for estimates, DVIs, parts sourcing, and real‐time customer updates.
  • Maintain rigorous safety and RVIA/RVDA compliance standards at every job site.
  • Represent 1836 Mobile with clear, professional communication.
Must‐Have Qualifications
  • RVIA/RVDA or RVTI Certified Technician – REQUIRED
  • EPA 608 or Aqua‐Hot certification –
  • 5+ years hands‐on RV repair experience (mobile fieldwork ideal)
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and wiring diagrams
  • Reliable tool set secured in your service truck
  • Works well in a team environment and excels independently in the field
Credentials
  • Specialized Certifications: Aqua‐Hot, RVIA, HVAC, welding, and generator repairs (diesel & gas)
  • Cummins/ONAN Generator Certification: Strongly valued for onboard generator work
  • Structural Proficiency: Welding & fabrication capabilities for frame and roof repairs
  • Diesel Engine Know‐How: Experience servicing diesel powerplants in RVs and heavy‐duty trucks
Compensation Snapshot

$45 – $60/hr (DOE)- Your fully equipped service truck

Bonuses, benefits, optional truck‐payment assistance, eligibility for company fuel card after 30–60 days

Final rate and any truck‐payment subsidy are determined during interview and skills assessment.
