Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Home Infusion on a per-diem, mobile basis. The nurse will travel to patient homes in the Philadelphia area and surrounding counties to administer IV therapy and provide education to patients and caregivers.

Ideal candidates have an accredited nursing degree, active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and 2+ years acute care or 1 year home infusion experience. Occasional on-call and travel within the service area are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• 2+ years in acute care or 1 year in home care/hospice/home infusion.
• Current RN licensure in state of employment; valid driver’s license; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and provides nursing care in patients' homes.
• Communicates with health care team about patient care needs and updates.
• Initiates and maintains IV therapy; completes documentation within 48 hours.
• Educates patients/caregivers receiving IV therapy at home.
