This entry-level role operates under supervision by licensed clinicians and focuses on recovery support, mentoring, and crisis de-escalation. The position offers part-time hours, competitive pay between $23 and $24.17 per hour, and benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist certification or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• 80-hour Peer Support Learning or equivalent completed within 90 days of hire.
• Current behavioral intervention training within six months of hire.
• Lived experience of mental health/substance use disorder.

Title: Mobile Response Peer Support Specialist

Job Duties

The Peer Support Specialist is an entry-level role designated to provide peer support work under the direct supervision of an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC. The Peer Support Specialist is responsible for assisting and supporting individuals in a mobile crisis in our Mobile Response Program. The Peer Support Specialist will engage in a range of activities to support individuals seeking recovery from substance abuse disorder, mental illness, or both. Activities may include mentoring, advocating for people in recovery, and building relationships. The Crestwood Behavioral Health Mobile Response Team (MRT) provides community-based interventions for those experiencing a mental health crisis. Our team is available to deploy into the community to provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization. The MRT is staffed by Licensed/Registered Mental Health Counselors and Peer Support Specialists who can provide services throughout Napa County, including residences, parks, shelters, schools, and hospitals. The goal of MRT is to de-escalate the crisis and safely connect individuals with mental health care and resources.

Schedule

• Part-Time: AM (Saturday and Sunday, 9:0AM - 9:0PM) & PM (Monday - Friday, 5:0PM - 9:0PM)

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
• A mental health/SUD lived experience.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist certification or ability to obtain after hire within an agreed upon time frame.
• 80-hour Peer Support Learning or equivalent – successfully completed within 90 days of hire or has taken the training within 2-years of hire.
• Has current techniques of behavioral intervention training within six (6) months of hire.

About the Campus

Crestwood’s Mobile Crisis Services program through our Napa Crisis Stabilization Unit provides crisis services as part of a 24-hour crisis response continuum of care. Our program services are centered on crisis stabilization that utilizes evidence-based practices and features peer support. Our Mobile Crisis Services include screening, assessment, stabilization, de-escalation, follow up, and coordination with healthcare services and other supports.

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay per hour at the time of posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to candidate's skills, experience, licensure, and program acuity.

Pay Range:: $23 USD - $24.17 USD
