Northern Litho Inc is seeking a Lithotripsy Route Technologist to deliver high-quality lithotripsy services across multiple client sites in the Westchester, NY area. Pay Range: $48 – $57 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Position Summary:
Lithotripsy Route Technologists play a critical role in delivering high-quality lithotripsy services to physicians, patients, and partner hospitals. This position involves equipment setup and maintenance, procedural support, quality assurance, compliance, and travel. Technologists are ambassadors of Northern Litho and are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Management
Collaborate with biomedical and engineering departments at client hospitals to ensure that the necessary electrical and physical infrastructure is in place.
Safeguard all assigned equipment, particularly at fixed hospital sites, maintaining strict awareness of cost, fragility, and security.
2. Setup and Calibration
Set up and calibrate the lithotripter and C-arm before the first procedure each day and after every equipment relocation.
Conduct pre-use testing to ensure proper function and readiness of all systems.
3. Procedural Support
Support the physician during treatments by operating lithotripsy equipment in accordance with Northern Litho protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
Assist with patient positioning and verify any contraindications, reporting them to the physician.
Adhere to all relevant hospital policies and procedures, only performing non-hospital staff duties when directed by authorized personnel.
4. Quality Assurance & Documentation
Record all treatment data accurately in Northern Litho's proprietary software, including any adverse events or deviations from standard protocols.
Ensure appropriate documentation is made available to physicians, hospitals, and internal teams.
Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and submit daily logs and reports as required.
5. Routine Maintenance
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, such as replacing disposable components and basic troubleshooting.
Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs and ensure all equipment is clean, dry, secure, and protected from environmental hazards.
Report all equipment issues immediately to the home office.
6. Licensing & Compliance
Maintain active ARRT certification and home state licensure; ensure all credentials are current and compliant with state and hospital requirements.
Carry and be ready to present credentials upon request.
Northern Litho will cover costs for out-of-state licensure, training, or credentialing specific to the role.
7. Travel
Be prepared for occasional travel, including overnight stays, at company expense.
Follow company guidelines for submitting expense reports, time sheets, and fuel receipts.
Additional Expectations:
Be flexible and adaptable to perform additional duties as needed for the smooth operation of company services.
Represent Northern Litho with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid ARRT certification and applicable state licensure
Experience in operating and maintaining lithotripsy or radiologic equipment preferred
Strong attention to detail and adherence to protocols
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel and work independently in the Westchester, NY area and surrounding regions
