Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mobile Plumber to maintain and repair plumbing, mechanical, and distribution systems within a facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, tests, installations, and troubleshooting for the water and gas distribution network.

You will follow safety policies, complete backflow and safety inspections, and mentor junior staff while supporting project work and emergency responses as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or trade school; equivalent experience considered.
  • Journeyman plumbing certification required.
  • Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, test, and troubleshoot water and medical gas distribution systems.
  • Install new water systems, piping and fixtures per blueprints and codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good condition with basic tools.
  • Assist staff or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to staff for light plumbing maintenance.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems duties as assigned.
  • Respond to emergencies and summon extra help as needed.
  • Adhere to HSE policies and participate in HSE programs.

About The Role

As a CBRE Mobile Plumber, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical and distribution systems throughout a facility.

As a CBRE Mobile Plumber, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical and distribution systems throughout a facility. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
  • Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
  • Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driver’s License required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
