Job Title: Mobile Plant Maintenance - Electrician

This position requires travel to company locations across all of Florida, and parts of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and South Carolina. It may require up to 100% travel with overtime and weekend work.

• Thorough mechanical knowledge of plant production and related equipment.

• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear.

• Analyze malfunctions and repairs

. Through knowledge of 120V ac controls, relay, starter and interlock wiring.

• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

• Lubricates and cleans parts.

• Repairs or replaces defective parts.

• Repairs electrical equipment.

• Works with plumbing and other functions of the plants.

• Completes paperwork such as parts and service work orders, safety documentation, and verification of invoices.

• Heavy equipment experience preferred

• Electrical experience required

. Will be required to work with the maintenance crew on projects that involve other tasks than electrical

. Position requires employee to supply their own basic hand tools

The mechanic may be asked to perform a wide range of duties within the plant such as operating heavy equipment and being willing to help wherever needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds alone and stand a good part of the day. The mechanic will be working in varying weather conditions, in dust and noisy areas. Substantial walking, bending, stooping, lifting or working in awkward or strained positions. Some hazards involved due to working in and around trucks and machinery. The mechanic will be asked to work overtime as well as some weekends as business needs require. This position requires a significant amount of travel to other locations within the business unit. The job may require 100% or more travel to remote locations.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Front-end loader, forklift, and high lift experience preferred.

Minimum of 2 years in the maintenance field.

General experience with industrial equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on rail unloading equipment.

Ability to make simple electrical diagnosis and repairs.

Familiarity with OSHA regulations.

Conveyor System repair experience.

Experience in electrical from 24vdc to 120vdc controls and up to 480vac for main wiring.
