Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Physician Assistants to partner as independent contractors to provide health services to U.S. military service members. The role focuses on weekends with some Weekday availability and may require travel to remote military installations across the nation.

Responsibilities include health assessments, history review, and readiness documentation. Active PA licensure in the state and CPR/BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant license in the state
• CPR/BLS Certification required
• Experience in Primary Care/Urgent Care or Occupational Health requested
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred
• Able to work extended hours and travel to various locations, including remote military installations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities

• Support physical health assessments for military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview service members to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including behavioral health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the medical record using a proprietary system.
