Job summary

Talin Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-home care team across Northern Virginia. The PTA will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to support patients in regaining mobility and improving physical function.

Responsibilities include assisting with treatment plans, monitoring progress, educating patients and families, documenting care, and maintaining a safe, infection-controlled environment while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Must understand treatment plans under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to PTA scope.
• Familiarity with geriatrics, inpatient/outpatient settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients with geriatrics or acute conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to aid recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress per facility policies.
• Ensure a safe, clean treatment environment by following infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
