Reya is seeking a PT Mobile Phlebotomist to support our Laboratory department across various locations. The role focuses on safe blood collection, specimen handling, and delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients.

Hours are flexible and based on coverage needs; draws occur at Northlake, Forest Park, Streamwood, Chicago, Evergreen, Oak Lawn, LaGrange, Hillside, Sandwich, Elgin, and sometimes patients’ homes.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Ability to navigate traffic and changing travel conditions.
• Previous phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomist certification by ASCP (or equivalent) preferred.
• Familiarity with LIS and other relevant software.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
• Flexibility and adaptability for diverse duties.

Responsabilidades

• Phlebotomist travels to and from locations requesting collection services.
• Transport and move required equipment for phlebotomy and/or laboratory testing collections.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures with precision and care, following protocols.
• Collect and label specimens accurately, ensuring proper identification.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Provide empathetic, professional patient care and ease anxieties.
• Keep accurate records of specimens collected and documentation up to date.
• Process specimens for lab testing and coordinate with reference labs as needed.
• Alert management to unresolved orders and coordinate workflow improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure inventory of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state requirements.
• Monitor phlebotomy practices and seek improvements.
• Train and mentor personnel on phlebotomy techniques and safety.
• Travel to collection sites as assigned and plan workflows to maximize productivity.
• Ensure vehicle readiness and maintenance.
