Job summary

Colonial Group in Southern Indiana seeks a Mobile Phlebotomist to travel between LTC facilities and patient homes in Bloomington, Bedford, and North Vernon. This part-time role runs weekdays from 4am to 11am, approx 32 hours weekly, with starting pay of $23 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.

You will perform phlebotomy and specimen processing, ensure proper patient identification, and transport samples to testing facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience in mobile phlebotomy / long-term care is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation for driving to each facility.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must maintain and show proof of liability automotive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and processing duties per the department manual.
• Follow procedures for patient identification and labeling of specimens.
• Process specimens to maintain integrity for transport to testing facility.
• Perform training responsibilities if needed.
• Operate and maintain departmental equipment (computers, printers).
• Read, collect, and receive all laboratory tests ordered accurately.
• Complete training when procedures change or new ones are introduced.
• Comply with LTC/ facility, departmental, company, safety and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Work as a team and follow behavioral standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
