Job summary

CompuNet is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to travel to long-term care facilities and offsite collection sites to collect and process specimens. The role requires floating between facilities and patient homes as needed, with a focus on quality phlebotomy skills and proper specimen handling.

The position emphasizes adherence to safety and facility policies, maintaining equipment, and working collaboratively with teams to ensure accurate testing and timely processing.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience of at least 6 months.
• Experience in long-term care settings is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Travel to LTC facilities and offsite collection sites to collect specimens.
• Label specimens and maintain specimen integrity for transport.
• Operate and maintain departmental equipment and supplies.
• Complete training when procedures are updated and follow safety policies.
• Adhere to all facility and company policies and promote safety.
• Work as part of a team to ensure efficient specimen collection.
