Job description

Join to apply for the Mobile Phlebotomist (MAKO) role at Mako Medical.

Description

Travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential homes to service patients. Treat all customers courteously. Ensure all urine, oral fluid, and phlebotomy specimens are collected accurately and on time.

  1. Collect specimens according to established procedures.
  2. Complete requisitions accurately.
  3. Process and package specimens for transport. Maintain required records and documentation.
  4. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures, including Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, Automobile policies, Employee Handbook, and Quality Assurance Manual.
  5. Maintain all appropriate collection logs.
  6. Submit accurate expense forms when applicable, demonstrating organizational commitment.
  7. Adhere to grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies, appearing neat and clean at all times.
  8. Report to work on time, following attendance guidelines.
  9. Answer phones politely, incorporating the company name, self-identification, and a helpful statement.
  10. Communicate appropriately with clients, customers, coworkers, and the public.
  11. Keep information confidential per company and procedural policies.
  12. Report unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor, remaining polite and courteous.
  13. Keep work area neat and clean; dispose of biohazard containers as scheduled.
  14. Assist with inventories and other assigned tasks, including stocking supplies.
  15. Perform clerical duties related to the department when assigned.
  16. Answer and dispatch calls when required.
  17. Participate in teams and special projects as asked.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.
