Job description

Join to apply for the Mobile Phlebotomist (MAKO) role at Mako Medical.

Travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential Homes to service patients. Ensure all urine and oral fluid specimens, as well as phlebotomy specimens, are collected accurately and timely. Treat all customers courteously and maintain confidentiality.

  1. Collect specimens according to established procedures.
  2. Complete requisitions accurately.
  3. Process and package specimens for transport, maintaining required records and documentation.
  4. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  5. Maintain all appropriate collection logs.
  6. Submit accurate expense forms as required, demonstrating organizational commitment.
  7. Adhere to grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies, appearing neat and clean at all times.
  8. Report on time, following attendance guidelines.
  9. Answer calls politely, incorporating the company name and a helpful statement.
  10. Communicate appropriately with clients, customers, coworkers, and the public.
  11. Keep information confidential per policies.
  12. Report unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
  13. Keep work area neat and dispose of biohazard waste properly.
  14. Assist with inventories, stock supplies, and perform clerical duties as assigned.
  15. Participate in team activities and special projects.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
