Travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential homes to service patients. Treat all customers courteously. Ensure all urine and oral fluid specimens and phlebotomy specimens are collected accurately and on time.
- Collect specimens according to established procedures.
- Complete requisitions accurately.
- Process and package specimens for transport. Maintain required records and documentation.
- Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures, including the Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, and others.
- Maintain all appropriate collection logs.
- Submit accurate expense forms when applicable, demonstrating organizational commitment.
- Adhere to grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies, appearing neat and clean.
- Report to work on time, following attendance guidelines.
- Answer the telephone courteously, incorporating the company name, self-identification, and a helpful statement.
- Communicate appropriately with clients, customers, coworkers, and the public.
- Keep information confidential per company policies.
- Report unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
- Keep work area neat and dispose of biohazard containers properly.
- Assist with inventories and other assigned tasks, stock supplies as needed.
- Perform clerical duties and answer phones when assigned.
- Participate in teams and special projects as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
