Travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential Homes to service patients. Treat all customers courteously. Ensure all urine and oral fluid specimens, as well as phlebotomy specimens, are collected accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Collect specimens according to established procedures.
- Complete requisitions accurately.
- Process and package specimens for transport; maintain records and documentation.
- Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures (e.g., Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, Employee Handbook, Quality Assurance Manual).
- Maintain all appropriate collection logs.
- Submit accurate expense forms as required, demonstrating organizational commitment.
- Adhere to grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies, appearing neat and clean at all times.
- Report to work on time, following attendance guidelines.
- Answer the telephone in a friendly, helpful manner, using the company name and proper identification.
- Communicate appropriately with clients, customers, coworkers, and the public.
- Keep information confidential per company policies.
- Report unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor, remaining polite and courteous.
- Keep work area neat and dispose of biohazard containers as scheduled.
- Assist with inventories and other assigned tasks, including stocking supplies.
- Perform clerical duties related to the department when assigned.
- Answer phones and dispatch calls when needed.
- Participate in team activities and special projects as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
