Job summary

Our Blood Institute is actively seeking qualified candidates for a rewarding position with a proven track record of successful reliability, responsible for providing a safe and pleasant blood donation experience for donors.

Considered applicants must have a high school degree or GED; college classes are a plus. This position offers WORLD-CLASS PAID on-the-job training with no experience required.

The phlebotomist should exemplify superior customer service, professionalism, donor care, and technical ability. The successful candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. They must be punctual, reliable, good communicators, detail-oriented, and able to work well with others. This position requires candidates to have reliable transportation, a working telephone, the ability to stand for long periods, and lift 40 lbs regularly.

Location: Little Rock, AR

Pay: Competitive pay based on experience; additional pay for technical school certification, degrees, fluency in Spanish; WORLD-CLASS PAID on-the-job training; $500 bonus after 6 months and $1,000 after 1 year!

Days and Hours: Varied based on blood drive schedules

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Perform registration, vitals, medical screening, phlebotomy, heat sealing, and record-keeping duties associated with blood donation and testing services.
  2. Adhere strictly to all SOPs, ensuring blood products meet quality standards set by regulatory agencies including the FDA.
  3. Assist supervisor in verifying and completing daily paperwork.
  4. Report issues related to equipment, venipuncture, or donor concerns to the supervisor.
  5. Assess donor needs throughout the donation process, including managing donor reactions.
  6. Educate donors about blood donation facts, frequency, and needs.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
