Job summary

ProHealth Care in Wisconsin is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. You will perform specimen procurement across hospital departments and off-site facilities, drawing blood by venipuncture, capillary, or arterial methods.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Wisconsin driver’s license, and phlebotomy training; ASCP certification and Epic Beaker experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required.
• Phlebotomy program completion preferred.
• ASCP Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Epic Beaker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen procurement procedures in hospital departments and off-site facilities.
• Draw blood by venipuncture, capillary, or arterial collection.
• Drive ProHealth Care Laboratory vehicles and maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Document specimen collection and receipt in the EHR; reconcile end-of-shift workload reports.
• May provide patient instruction relative to collection of blood and non-blood specimens; may perform CLIA-waived testing.
• Act as liaison between the laboratory and nurses or other healthcare providers.
• Must have ability to work at various PHC Lab locations as needed.
