Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its Laboratory team in Corona, CA. You will collect blood samples for laboratory testing and handle related clerical tasks, reporting to the Director of Laboratory.

Some tests may be performed under supervision of medical technologists, and you may travel as a courier to other locations. Qualified candidates will have a CPT license, CPR, a California driver's license, and an ASCP-approved associate degree or equivalent; typing and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of typing and laboratory computer systems preferred.
• Associate degree in Science or MLT (ASCP) preferred.
• Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) required. Current BCLS (CPR) certificate required. Current California driver's license and vehicle insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Director of Laboratory this position obtains blood samples for lab testing purposes.
• Clerical duties associated with charting and paperwork.
• Performs some tests under supervision of medical technologists.
• Retrieves and distributes reports according to procedure.
• This position also requires the use of your own vehicle, either as a courier or to do phlebotomy at other locations.
