Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to support patients in Virginia Beach and surrounding communities. The role involves visiting patient homes and care facilities, performing venipuncture, and delivering accurate specimens to the laboratory with compassionate, patient-centered service.

Successful candidates will have phlebotomy certification (or equivalent), reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and age 21+
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Northeast Ohio
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility staff
