Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection and initial processing.
• Enter and verify patient demographics and tests in the laboratory system.
• Ensure specimen integrity, proper labeling and timely delivery to the technical area.
• Maintain quality by following procedures and documenting communications; meet productivity standards.
• Assist in cost-control efforts and departmental initiatives.
• Communicate courteously with staff and patients and support cross-site coverage as needed.
