Job summary

Southcoast Health, serving Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, seeks a Mobile Phlebotomist to support our Mobile Team. You will collect specimens across multiple sites, label accurately, and ensure timely delivery to the lab.

Full-time, part-time or per diem roles available. Early-morning shifts with mileage reimbursement and a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 are offered; phlebotomy program completion and ASCP BOC certification within two years are required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to successful completion of a college-based, nationally accredited phlebotomy program or an MLA program.
• ASCP BOC certification required within two years from date of hire.
• Three years of experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or eligible for exemption by signing a request.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct specimens and volumes according to procedures.
• Label specimens accurately and process/deliver to correct laboratory departments.
• Enter patient and specimen information in LIS or logs and generate reports.
• Perform phlebotomy on inpatient, outreach clients, home draws, nursing homes, and outreach locations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
