Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, Inc. is seeking a Collection Specialist Driver to support the Donor Services Phlebotomy team in Peoria, IL.

This full-time role involves donor registrations, screenings, phlebotomy, and donor care, along with driving large vehicles and setting up the collection site. The position requires a valid driver’s license, REAL ID, and DOT medical certification readiness, with paid training and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Ability to interact with the public.
• Stable work history is preferred.
• Must follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends.
• Willing to train away from home for up to two weeks.
• Comfortable driving larger vehicles (box-trucks, tractor-trailers).
• Able to drive in various weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver's license in your state and be insurable.
• Must have REAL ID.
• Hold or obtain DOT Medical Certification Physical card.
• Pre-employment background check, drug screen, and MVR required.

Responsibilities

• Register donors and conduct screenings and physicals; perform phlebotomy during donation.
• Drive large blood center vehicles to transport supplies and team members.
• Set up and tear down collection operations and restock supplies.
• Provide donor care during the donation process.

Job description

As part of the Donor Services Phlebotomy team, our Collection Specialist Drivers conduct donor registrations, screenings, physicals, and phlebotomy as well as providing donor care during the donation process. The Collection Specialist Driver is responsible for driving large blood center vehicles to transport blood drive supplies and Donor Services team members, the set-up and tear down of the collection operation, and restocking of supplies.

This is a Full Time/30+ position working 30-39 hours per week and requires the ability to work varied hours including days, evenings, and weekends.
