AMG Senior Medical Group is actively seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to perform home-based specimen collection in Murray, UT. This field-based role involves traveling to patients?

homes and assisted living communities to collect blood and other specimens, then transporting them to contracted laboratories. The ideal candidate will have a Certified Phlebotomy Technician credential, at least one year of experience, and the ability to work independently while maintaining HIPAA and infection-prevention

Qualifications

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (or equivalent certification) is required.
• Minimum one year of phlebotomy experience.
• Excellent venipuncture skills, including geriatric patients.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel throughout assigned territory daily.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Preferred: Mobile phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: Home health or home-based primary care experience.
• Preferred: Experience working with geriatric populations.
• Preferred: EMR experience (DrChrono preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection in patients' homes and assisted living communities.
• Collect blood, urine, and other ordered specimens.
• Properly label, process, package, and transport specimens to designated laboratories.
• Coordinate daily schedules and routes with the AMG operations team.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Communicate collection issues, redraws, or patient concerns to the clinical team.
• Ensure specimen integrity through proper handling and transportation.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Build positive relationships with patients, caregivers, facility staff, and providers.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and infection prevention standards.
• Represent AMG professionally throughout the community.
• Review daily assignments and optimize route.
• Travel throughout assigned territory completing scheduled collections.
• Coordinate directly with assisted living communities and residential patients.
• Deliver specimens to the nearest contracted laboratory.
• Document completed collections and unresolved orders.
• Prepare for the following day's schedule before ending the workday.

Position Summary

The Mobile Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood and other specimens, ensuring proper specimen handling, transporting specimens to local laboratories, documenting services, and coordinating directly with the AMG operations team to provide timely diagnostic support for our Home-Based Primary Care patients.
