Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Phlebotomist for a contract position based out of Kyle, TX. The role focuses on blood collection, labeling, centrifugation, and proper specimen handling to ensure integrity of test samples.

Requires 6+ months phlebotomy experience, pediatric and geriatric exposure, and preferred phlebotomy certification. This is a fully onsite opportunity with pay $18.00–$18.61 per hour, dependent on qualifications and location.

• Pediatric and geriatric experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport. Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.61/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
