Being computer proficient is essential as well. This position pays per appointment, and some travel expenses may be covered.

Job Details

The candidate/phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining vitals, drawing blood, urine, EKG, and medical history. The candidate will travel to the patient's location for appointments. This is a per-appointment/event position, paid per appointment/event; it is not hourly or salaried. Bi-Weekly Pay. Some travel expenses are covered depending on the location of the appointment.

Responsibilities

• Traveling to specified locations to obtain samples as required.
• Disinfecting extraction sites using alcohol swabs.
• Gathering mandatory information from patients and verifying their identities.
• Obtaining vitals, blood, urine, EKGs, and medical history.
• Accurately labeling all samples.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, including detailing any medical issues experienced by patients during venipuncture procedures that may affect the accuracy of test results.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experienced phlebotomist.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid Auto Insurance.
• Excellent customer service & communication skills.
• Knowledge regarding HIPAA/PHI law.
• Detail-oriented/sound organizational skills.
• Professional, responsible, and self-starter with excellent attention to detail and good penmanship.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Must be computer proficient, have internet access, and a printer/scanner to print, scan and upload completed documents.
