Qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mobile Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role requires extensive travel (up to 75%) to various locations to act as a liaison between the pharmacy and customer facilities focusing on medication management and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role will assist in pharmacy operations, medication preparation, review medication storage, availability and accuracy and customer support. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in a customer setting.

Responsibilities
  • Travel to multiple customer locations to support pharmacy operations and medication distribution, medication, storage and oversight
  • Audit all aspects of medication storage in the facility/community, including stability and labeling. This audit encompasses every area of the medication room, including locked cabinets, stock areas, E-kits, and refrigerators.
  • Review medication storage, availability, and accuracy by comparison of MAR to the contents of the medication cart. Confirm correct medication labeling, review of expiration dates, and double check orders to ensure they are accurately transcribed to the MAR.
  • Visually inspect each medication dispensed from the pharmacy, and verify (according to pill shape, marking[s], and color) that the medication itself matches the medication identified on the prescription label.
  • Collects information needed to fill prescriptions from customers or healthcare professionals
  • Measures, mixes, and labels medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Audits accurate prescription preparation and dispensing
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
  • Process insurance claims and handle medication inquiries
  • Ensure inventory control and proper storage of medications during transit
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols while transporting medications
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy teams and healthcare professionals
  • Supervisory Responsibility: No
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
License Certification Requirements
  • Pharmacy technician certification as required by state
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proof of current automobile insurance.

To perform this role will require frequently sitting, standing, walking, typing on a keyboard with fingers and occasionally bending, reaching, and climbing (stairs/ladders). The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 11-20 lbs.
