Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking veterinarians to deliver compassionate in-home hospice and end-of-life care across Atlanta-area communities. This role supports families in a mobile setting, with a focus on meaningful conversations and patient comfort.

The ideal candidate holds a DVM/VMD/BVMS, is licensed, and can work independently with a strong bedside manner. Weekend coverage and travel to clients' homes are expected as part of a flexible, part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required and valid veterinary license.
• Ability to work independently in clients' homes with compassion.
• Weekend availability as part of rotational schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and maintain professional communication.
• Experience in end-of-life care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services with empathy.
• Communicate clearly with families and care teams.
• Attend to scheduling, travel, and mobile-ready care plans.
• Ensure safety, dignity, and comfort during procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and client follow-up.
