Job summary

PM Pediatric Care is seeking a Mobile Radiologic Technologist to perform pediatric X-ray services at multiple Long Island locations. The role travels to 2–3 sites, supports physicians and the care team, and ensures accurate imaging with patient safety at the forefront.

Ideal candidates have completed a Radiologic Technologist program, knowledge of digital imaging, and familiarity with eCW; HIPAA compliance and strong communication are essential. Travel is required within NY.

Qualifications

• Graduated from Radiologic Technologist program.
• Knowledge of medical practice and terminology and clinic processes.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies and think clearly.
• Knowledge of digital imaging and radiography equipment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (eCW preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following procedures.
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians and staff.
• Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment.
• Document repeat exposures and hold logs as needed.
• Assist in radiology quality assurance programs and report malfunctions.
• Alert staff of emergencies and assist patients in distress.
• Collect throat and nasal specimens and process samples for testing.
• Assist in processing laboratory testing and QA testing.
• Apply splints, ace wraps and DME devices; provide education on crutches.
• Be an integral part of the patient care team and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Follow HIPAA rules and maintain patient confidentiality.
