Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Mobile Optometrist to provide eye care in Skilled Nursing Facilities. You will conduct exams, diagnose ocular disease, and prescribe eyewear while maintaining exceptional patient service.

The role covers a home market radius with travel up to several hours, with potential overnight lodging and meals for longer drives. Flexible scheduling starts at 2 days per week, with a sign-on bonus and per-diem rates.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• OD license or eligibility to practice in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams using mobile optometric equipment and interpret findings.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disease.
• Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses.
• Advise on follow-up and care options; educate patients and facility staff.
