Job summary

Eyetastic Services® is seeking a Medical Optometrist to serve inmates across Florida correctional facilities. The role emphasizes medical optometry, disease management, and urgent eye care with travel from your home base to nearby facilities.

Qualifications

• At least two years of recent medically-focused optometry experience or residency in ocular disease management.
• New graduates must have completed residency training.
• Willingness to travel to multiple correctional facilities and work independently.

This opportunity is open to both part-time (1099) and full-time (W2 or 1099) employment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive optometric care to inmates in correctional facilities


• Travel to assigned facilities within a reasonable radius from your home base


• Focus on medical optometry, managing a wide range of ocular diseases and urgent eye care needs


• Maintain accurate records and comply with all facility and regulatory requirements

Compensation:

• Florida-based full-time ODs can earn $400,000–$500,000 annually
