Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking Exam and Treatment Dentist professionals to support Tennessee Army National Guard medical readiness across the state. Duties include mobile exam/treatment services on weekends with some weekdays, documenting in military systems and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

Active Tennessee dental license, with no restrictions.
Current and active DEA number is preferred.
CPR/BLS certification.
Professional liability/malpractice insurance policy.
Have a valid US driver’s license.
Ability to work in mobile, portable, and field-based dental treatment environments.
Basic computer knowledge and skills.
Utilization of universal precautions for patient care.
Experience working in a military setting and working knowledge of the regulations and policies that apply to Dental Readiness Classification (DRC) and deployment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete examinations/screenings and ensure accurate charting on military forms.
Complete comprehensive dental treatment to include restorative, endodontic, and/or oral surgery procedures in a non-traditional setting.
Document findings/completed treatments on military forms and properly classify soldiers.
Work collaboratively with event team.
Safeguard all soldiers’ information.
Ensures all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal/state laws and regulations.
