Job summary

Integral Care in Travis County, Texas is seeking a Mobile Mental Health Crisis Responder (QMHP) to join EMCOT. The role involves crisis screenings, co-response with APD and TCSO, and transporting individuals with CHP responders to appropriate services. You will follow up for up to 90 days to support community-based care.

Full-time, on-site position with variable workdays and a 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM shift. Salary ranges per hour plus a crisis stipend and potential shift differentials.

Mobile Mental Health Crisis Responder - QMHP

Job Summary:Integral Care's Expanded Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (EMCOT) serves individuals in psychiatric crisis. Travis County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Austin Police Department (APD), and Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO), as well as other law enforcement agencies can request EMCOT through the 911 call center for real-time co-response for psychiatric crises. EMCOT connects individuals to treatment appropriate for psychiatric crises, diverting them from emergency rooms and jails. This improves health outcomes and ensures first responders can return to what they do best- responding to medical emergencies and public safety issues.

EMCOT also receives referrals from Central Booking Counseling Staff and Travis County Correctional Complex (TCCC) to connect individuals post-release to services in order to prevent future engagement with the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with community partners and clinicians at the 911 call center to provide crisis screenings and assessments within the community that do not present an imminent threat to public safety.
• Provide co-responses with APD and TCSO Crisis Intervention Team.
• Rides out with Community Health Paramedics (CHP responders) responding to mental health calls.
• Works to connect individuals, on a voluntary basis, to community based, residential or inpatient service depending on the need and can provide follow-up services for up to 90 days.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

• Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.

License:

Required:

• Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

• Crisis assessment experience is strongly preferred.

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Varies.

Workhours:12:00PM - 10:00PM.

Salary: $24.18 - $25.39 an hour based on education, plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.

Position may be eligible for an additional shift differential pay.

• Second Shift: $3.25/hour.
• Third Shift: $7.25/hour.
