Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a dedicated Fleet Technician to perform routine maintenance on mobile medical units, assist in setup/breakdown, and oversee vehicle deployment in emergencies.

Requires high school diploma, CDL-A preferred within a year, and 2 years vehicle maintenance; BCLS and EVOC certs; strong communication; driving in extreme conditions; schedule Mon-Fri 8 hours with some flexibility; 40 hours/week; benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CDL-Class A license preferred within one year of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years' vehicle maintenance experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BCLS required.
• Advocate EVOC certification required annually.
• Valid driver's license; CDL Class B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance of mobile medical fleet vehicles.
• Assists in setup and breakdown of mobile care units and logistics.
• Performs preventative maintenance (electrical, plumbing, carpentry) for MTF.
• Oversees deployment of vehicle in emergency situations.
• Maintains records of fleet resources before, during, and after deployment.
• Inspects, maintains, and operates vehicles for transport of organs, tissue recovery, and donor-related equipment.
• Ensures interiors are cleaned and disinfected between trips.
• Works under Fleet & Logistics leadership to fulfill routine, unscheduled, and emergent tasks.
