Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician to support Mobile Medicine Fleet & Logistics operations. The role includes routine maintenance of MTF vehicles, setup/breakdown assistance, and coordinating with vendors for specialized repairs.

A CDL Class A is preferred and a minimum of 2 years of vehicle maintenance experience is expected. The position is full-time with a 40-hour work week, M-F schedule, and flexible timing as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL-Class A license preferred within one year of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years' vehicle maintenance experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BCLS required.
• Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) annually required.
• Valid Driver License; CDL Class B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance of MTF including tractor, tractor trailer and generator.
• Assists in setup and breakdown of MTF and related logistics functions.
• Performs preventive maintenance for electrical, plumbing, general construction and carpentry.
• Oversees deployment of vehicle in emergency situations.
• Keeps a record of MTF resources before, during and after deployment.
• Performs general housekeeping duties with regards to MTF.
• Communicates repairs that require specialized skills through outside vendors.
• Inspects and operates vehicles for transport of organs, tissue recovery teams and related equipment.
• Ensures vehicle interiors are cleaned and disinfected between trips.
• Works under Mobile Medicine Fleet & Logistics leadership to fulfill tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
