Job summary

West Coast Wound and Skin Care seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our field-based wound care team. The role involves traveling to patient homes to provide hands-on clinical support under supervising providers.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, clinically proficient, and passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a mobile setting. Scheduling is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with full-time status and a pay rate of $22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid Medical Assistant certification is required.
• 1–2 years of clinical or medical experience preferred.
• Experience in home health, mobile healthcare, or field-based roles is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks and patient care duties in a field-based setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits.
• Scribe for physicians and document clinical findings accurately.
• Perform chart checks to monitor and evaluate patient progress.
• Coordinate and assist with patient scheduling and visits.
• Conduct initial assessment calls with new patients.
• Order and manage medical supplies and equipment inventory.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.
