JWCH Institute, Inc + Wesley Health Centers in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Medical Assistant/Driver to support a street medicine team delivering transitional primary care to unsheltered individuals. You will assist clinicians, operate mobile unit logistics, and provide non-emergent transportation while maintaining patient records.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, patient advocacy, and coordination with community services to ensure continuity of care.

Qualificações

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program with MA certificate.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Two years’ experience in ambulatory clinic/setting.

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine noninvasive patient care as prescribed by licensed professionals.
• Collects and records patient data (height, weight, BMI, temperature, pulse, resp rate, BP, pulse oximeter, peak flow).
• Performs lab tests including finger sticks after training.
• Performs venipuncture and PPD skin tests; documents results.
